The Gods of Yerth.

There are nine Gods/Goddesses in Yerth. Every Deity (excluding Mu and Lisen) has a Good, Neutral and Evil aspect, leading to twenty-three different religious orders. Many followers insist that their version is the only "true" version, which leads to religious tension and/or conflict.

The nine deities are as follows (unless otherwise noted, these deities each have a good, neutral and evil order that worships them):
  • Mu - Deity of Magic (Priests are unaligned, followers can be any alignment)
  • Atin - God of Air
  • Eond - God of Earth
  • Finan - Goddess of Fire
  • Weva - Goddess of Water
  • Oen - God of Order
  • Collag - Goddess of Chaos
  • Lisen - Goddess of Life (Priests are good, followers can be good or unaligned).
  • Drakh - God of Death

Mu - the deity of magic and mystery.

Mu is neither male nor female, and is regarded by its followers as the "One true God" (all of the other deities being merely aspects of Mu). The fact that Mu's symbol has eight points is taken as further proof of this claim.

Mu is the deity of magic, knowledge, education, creativity and insight.

Atin - God of the Air

Atin is the God of Air and associated natural/elemental forces and creatures.

Atin is also the God of music, drama and the arts.

Eond - God of the Earth

Eond is the Earth God, and also the God of construction, work and trade.

In his good, neutral and/or evil aspects he is sacred to Dwarves and many inhabitants of the Underdark.

Finan - Goddess of Fire

Finan is the Wild Fire Goddess, capable of great warmth and great destruction.

Finan is also the goddess of passion and desire, and is sacred to many artists. Although not the deity of workers overall, she is revered by those who employ fire in their trade, such as smiths.

Weva - Goddess of Water

Picture
Weva is the Goddess of Water and is consequently sacred to sailors and fishermen.

In the more arid regions of Yerth she is more sacred to farmers than Lisen, the Goddess of life.

Oen - God of Order

Picture
Oen is the God of order and is sacred to Paladins, lawmakers, architects, and anyone else who seeks to impose order on the world. He is also sacred to many elven clans.

Collag - Goddess of Chaos

Picture
Collag is the Goddess of Chaos and mischief. She is also the Goddess of the two moons of Yerth and of the havoc they play with the tides (which are impossible to predict).

Collag's evil aspect tends to have more worshippers, although she also is sacred to creative people.

Lisen - Goddess of Life

Lisen is sacred to farmers, mothers, and healers.

Drakh - God of Death

Drakh is not openly worshipped by many, however there will be a small temple to Drakh in even the smallest village.

Drakh's evil aspect is worshipped by necromancers, among others.
