I must admit that I am mightily impressed with the fact that there is free wireless internet on the bus from Istanbul to Ankara.  I can honestly say I have never written a post while sitting on a bus before. This post is also unique in that it started in Europe and will finish in Asia, as I am crossing the Bosphorus, also known as the bounday between the two continents (it runs through the middle of Istanbul, in case you were wondering).

I can also sing  the praises of Singapore Airlines who provide free power for laptops on their flights. As a consequence I was able to write all kinds of adventure related stuff between Singapore and Dubai (I watched free movies on the flight from Sydney to Singapore, and Clash of the Titans was rubbish. Between Dubai and istanbul I scored a free row of seats so I slept.)

Hope all are well. I'm going back to writing for now - only five more hours to Ankara.

It's actually very hard to find fezes in Turkey. They were banned by Atatürk as a symbol of the Ottoman Empire, and were not relevant to modern, secular Turkey.

But regardless, I'll see if I can find one at the Grand Bazaar when I get back to Istanbul (they have every imaginable item of naffness there).
